| Seminal Aussie late 70's Power-Pop band in excellent new album shock!
Back in 2005, we reissued the Young Modern's posthumous album Play Faster (AVSCD005). Their songwriting skills and pop smarts had garnered them great reviews (including a rave mention in the late Greg Shaw's pop bible BOMP!) but, sadly, indifference in a market dominated with 'pub rock' and they had broken up before their album was released. The album itself was a mixed bag: gems, like the Stephen Cummings produced single 'She's Got The Money' were mixed in with demos and, in the case of the CD reissue, previously unreleased live tracks.
Much of the live material was made up of originals that the band had not had the chance or opportunity to record, but in 2006 Young Modern reformed to rectify this situation by recording these songs properly...over a quarter of a century later - better late than never! The resultant CD How Insensitive, was an unexpected delight and attracted glowing reviews around the globe with great praise for the energy and passion displayed by the band who are now in their mid to late Fifties.

Young Modern also played a select number of live shows to promote the CD release, including a rapturously received home town show in Adelaide.
